Represented were Vorum and Willow Wood. Very disappointing.Congratulations to Willow Wood for posting the first course! You can see it here:…See More

CAD/CAM From the Ordinary to the Extraordinary

From the Ordinary to the Extraordinary

This presentation is an examination of the uses of CAD/CAM for multiple types of cases.  It is provided by Michael Nunnery, CPO, FAAOP, Chair of the CAD/CAM Society of the Academy.

I noticed a decrease in my Omega Scanner performance as I added other programs to my laptop. My IT friend found a few interesting things:
1: The VxScan software uses a lot of processor capacity.
2: The VxScan software is rather polite, in that it allows other programs to take up processor capacity first, limiting its own performance.
3: Scanner performance improved immediately when those programs were turned off or deleted.
I also spoke with Creaform (the manufacturers of the Omega Scanner) who put together this document: Optimizing your PC for use of the Omega Scanner
